Crown Isle Golf Event - 2026 - Courtenay, BC
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Crown Isle Golf Event on July 14th & 15th 2026, is now open.
The application deadline is 30 June 2026 @ 1200 PST.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier On is excited to partner with Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community for a 1.5-day local golf event on Tuesday, July 14th and Wednesday, July 15th. During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn from local PGA professionals to improve your overall golf skills. You will participate in a 2-hour golf clinic with PGA pros, focusing on swing technique, putting, chipping, and overall range work. You will also play a full round of golf (18 holes) to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned on the beautiful Crown Isle course in Comox, BC
*To participate in this event, you must provide your own golf clubs and golf bag
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
9.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
from the greater-Comox area, or within a 90-minute drive of the Comox proper, who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.
DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Tuesday 14 July, 2026
1445: Welcome brief & introductions
1500 - 1700: Golf Clinic with PGA Pro's at Crown Isle Resort
Wednesday 15th, 2026
1245: Split into golf groups & carts
1300 - 1400: Warm up at golf range
1400 - 1800: 18 holes of golf
1830 - 2000: Group dinner at Crown Isle Resort (provided by Soldier On)
TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that meals and transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location, travel and meals are not eligible for reimbursement for this event.
Exception is the group dinner on July 15th, which will be arranged by Soldier On after the round of golf played at Crown Isle Resort.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 1.5 days of moderate to high paced activities.
Applicants must be able to swing a golf club without issue and must be able to traverse uneven surfaces.
Applicants must be able to complete 18 holes of golf.
All serving applicants must not be in violation of any MELs.
Applicants must be comfortable working in small teams.
Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
Applicants also acknowledge that there will be no alcohol allowed during this event.
